Holiday home Casa Mimosa / Quinta do Retiro ***

Holiday home Casa Mimosa is an authentic free standing, partly wooden house, built in a chalet style full of atmosphere. Due to the charming simplicity, its location in nature and the enormous wooden veranda, this house is very suitable for nature lovers. The house is comfortably furnished and has as a bonus a luxury 4-6 person private sauna and a large sunbathing terrace.

The views from the huge wooden veranda over the small stream are superb. Due to its location next to the playing ground (communal use) with trampoline, this house is also very suitable for families with young children. 

Casa Mimosa is suitable for 2-6 persons (or even more when – free of extra charge – a small tent is placed on the lawn next to the house).

  • Living room with cosy dining, sitting area, a children’s play corner and a powerful wood burner. French windows lead out to your own private terrace. Sleeping sofa.
  • Large open and well equipped kitchen consists of a electric hob and microwave, refrigerator/freezer
  • Spacious bedroom with a double bed (140x200cm), a bunk bed and wardrobe and windows with shutters, a sleeping sofa in the livingroom,
  • Bathroom with a spacious shower and wash hand basin
  • Separate toilets
  • Luxury 4-6 person Finnish sauna with electric oven + cold outdoor shower to cool down (at cost)
  • Very large, sunny but also shaded veranda of appr. 50 sq m with a six persons picnic table, wooden garden furniture, sun umbrella and two sun beds
  • The lawn next to the veranda has space to take a small child’s tent.

Rental tent fully equipped on nice spacious spot!

Camping in a super cool, fully furnished rental tent, in the middle of nature! From June to September we rent out various fully furnished family tents. All tents are located on private, spacious places on our site with a beautiful view. And.. the kids sleep in a separate compartment or.. could have their own tent! How cool is that!?  We guarantee you maximum space, peace and privacy.

The standard setup is actually a 6-person tent, but we have furnished the tent for 4 people. This provides a lot of extra space. For larger families we can create more sleeping places or – at no extra cost – add a tent element or an extra dome tent. This gives you even more space and comfort during your holiday and the fully furnished rental tent is also suitable for large or blended families.

Our spacious rental tents are fully equipped with beds/matrasses, quilts/sleepingbags, bedlinnen and towels, all kitchenequipment for cooking and eating, and yes: also for dishwashing, chairs and table. There is electricity (included) in the tent. The bathroomfacilities of Quinta do Retiro are also available for the guests in rental tents.

Pets are not allowed in rental tents.

Group accommodation: From season 2026 we have the opportunity to host larger groups in tents. We can accommodate groups of up to 50-60 guests in our own tents, including sleeping bags, mattresses and possibly chairs or other conveniences. Your group will have access to its own section on our site. Combined with breakfast, lunch or dinner service, this makes a good basis for a fun family activity, scouting, sports activity or staff outing! Discuss the possibilities with us!

Holiday bungalow Casa Covas / Quinta do Retiro ****

Holiday home Casa Covas has a great shady veranda with absolute privacy. Smaller than the adjacent Casa Oliveirinha, but offers in summer and winter the same perfect orientation towards the sun, same style and the same panoramic view over the stream, the lower terraces and the hill slopes of the valley.

This characterful holiday home Casa Covas has two bedrooms and is suitable for stays up to 5 people. The veranda has a luxurious wooden lounge set, dining area and a BBQ. The accommodation is at ground level. Highly sought to overwinter in this beautiful part of Portugal.

  • Living room with dining and sitting area. French windows lead on to your own terrace
  • Small, well equipped open plan kitchen with gasoven with a 4 burner hob and refrigerator/freezer

  • Large, shaded veranda (30 sq m) with outdoor kitchen and barbeque. Wooden dining furniture and luxury outdoor lounge suite

Campingpitch (roof)Tent or Popup trailer grass

Grasspitches are very nice & spacious campingpitches with a lot of privacy for all types of (roof-)tents and pop-up tents . It is covered by grass and can place a small caravan or campervan, a pop-up trailer or any size of (roof)tent. It is suitable upto 6 guests per pitch. Possible electricity hookup and water facility nearby. It has morningsun and/or afternoonsun and trees around. All facilities are available.

Apart from the facilities available on our campsite; the following services are available to make your stay even more comfortable:

  • Electricity hookup: Electricity upto 7KwH/day. If you need more electricity fi to charge your bikes or car or charge your electric helicopter or power on your jacuzzi; please announce 🙂 Reservate this service by checking the checkbox in the reservation process.
  • Mini bar: What is more luxury than to have your own mini-bar fridge at your campingpitch? Daily filled up with drinks & snacks. This service is free; you just pay what you consume. There is a minimum consumption of €20 per stay. Reservate this service by checking the checkbox in the reservation process.
  • Pets: Your pets are welcome! Reservate the number of pets by checking the checkbox in the reservation process.
  • Rental tent: Not bring enough sleeping capacity? Quinta do retiro rent out full camping gear for those in need. Tents, sleeping bags, matrass, chairs, lights are all available. Reservate this service by checking the checkbox in the reservation process.
  • Breadservice: Every morning we serve fresh bread or ‘Pasteis de nata’. You can order this service at check-in.
  • Meals: In the season we have a third party cook very nice meals which are served at a very nice location. Please check the activity calendar in our APP or the announcements on the message boards on our terrain.

You can make a reservation through this website; this guarantees you have a spot for the period chosen. Upon check-in we find you the spot that you wish, also based on your vehicle/camping method. You can’t reserve a specific pitch, but if you know de number of pitch you prefer, you can specify this during the booking process. There’s no guarantee, but we’ll keep it in consideration. The minimum period of stay to make a reservation is 2 nights. If you are planning to stay only one night you no need to make a reservation; Just drop by, we always have a spot available, F.I. on one of our Park4night spots.
